i have now had confirmed that dateline has booked the program outlining the jw molestation issue for tuesday, may 28th.
this looks to be a certain date unless some type of tragedy or international problem should preempt the program.

Yes the "Your will" book was one of the books I kept. It is good to read for comic relief. Here are some quotes from the book. You may need a vomit bag as you read it but notice the errors and the WT blatant arrogance.

Another possible reason why the President might not have responded after the first plane hit the WTC, was that they thought the first plane that hit was an accident. I also don't think they thought it was as serious as it eventually turned out.
I am just watching on CNN and yes they are now saying there was evidence that Bin Laden was trying to hijack a 757 and use it as a weapon. I guess there is more to come in the next few days.

as many of you may know in recent weeks wt has moved to silence victims and advocates by disfellowshipping those who have spoken out on child molestation within the organization.
spokesman for jehovahs witnesses have made allegations that are untruthful, from saying that they had no idea who was appearing on dateline, stating that it has been established policy that child molesters work only in twos in the door to door ministry, to stating the judicial meetings were over other sins against god.

Apparently, when the secret service agent or one of his travelling associates whispered in his ear that the WTC had been hit (plane #1)...he nodded and went back to reading the class a story!
I am not a big George Bush fan but in his defense he may not being fully told of the full disaster. My understanding was that as the early news reports were coming in, they thought the first plane was a small commercial jet. The secret service probably thought it was not important enough for the president to drop everything at that moment.

am i the only one who sees it as a bit odd that a large number of jw apologists has suddenly come out of the woodwork on this board to defend the actions of the watchtower society toward bill bowen, barbara anderson and the pandelos?
for the longest time, virtually the only ones on this board who advocated an essentially orthodox jw viewpoint were you know and nytelecom/mavman (though each of them could easily be classed with us "apostates" if the watchtower knew of their disagreements with the party line).. but suddenly, we have a bunch of totally loyal, utterly doctrinaire jw apologists posting almost exclusively on threads related to the pedophile issue.
most of them are taking next to impossible positions from any reasonable standpoint.

ive recently been in contact with a couple of ex-jws that i knew in my childhood.. what has surfaced is the amount of fear that we experienced as young children when we were involved with the witnesses.
i accept that children often do develop irrational fears as part of growing up, but what i am talking about here is a deep-seated fear of being harmed.. many young children that i grew up with in the witness religion were of an unusually nervous disposition.
i recall how when i was first taken to meetings that i found the whole experience somewhat sinister and strange.

So who was the God that said this is what we should or should not believe? Who was the God that said that this book or that book is what we should or should not believe?? You can go ahead and follow a book full of superstitions, myths and fairy tales. I myself look toward taking knowledge by reading and scientific reasoning. That is the most divine thing one can do. You talk about problems in this world well there would be a lot less if religion is finally put on the "ash heap" of history.
